Fall TV reviewed

Ok, so it's a little bit past the beginning of the 2011 Fall TV season, but I'm just getting around to watching things on my DVR (best. invention. ever.)

A few shows have already fallen by the wayside, victims of a too-full DVR, or somehow eaten by a hungry DVR. My DVR has an eating disorder.

But the rest have won a spot in my heart and on my series manager:

Ringer--love love love this show, and I'm sure a great deal has to do with the fact that it's the return of Sarah Michelle Gellar (BUFFY!).

The Secret Circle--ok, it's a teen show, and a little cheesy, but still, so very cool. Like a toned down "The Craft".

Grimm--Just watching the premiere now--ZOMG so very good! I'm sure the fact that one of the creators of Buffy has a hand in this is one reason. Lots of overtones of Buffy, a little humor, mostly creepy. I mean, "Sweet Dreams" sealed it for me.

American Horror Story--I've only watched one episode.....holy cats. WEIRD and BIZARRE doesn't even begin to describe it. I'm intrigued enough to keep watching. The idea that the creator of Glee makes this....whoa.

Beavis & Butthead--hehehehehehehehehehehehehe fire hehehehehehehehehe Ok so I haven't watched this yet but DUDE. Best comeback show EVER. I still have my B&B coffee mugs. I AM THE GREAT CORNHOLIO!

Returning shows:

HouseMD--Season 8 is a bit of a mixed bag. Love House (House. In jail. GROWL. Sexy badboy goodness!). Love Park. Glad Taub & Chase are back. Not-Park can leave thank you. I miss 13. And....Cuddy who? The medicine has been a bit weak, but I've laughed so hard. I will be heartbroken if this is the last season.

GLEE--there's a weird shift this season that I'm not loving.....and LOVE seeing the winners from The Glee Project on (Damian!! *swoon*). But it IS Glee and I'm forever a Gleek. I have almost every CD from the show. It makes me happy!

Desperate Housewives--the final season is very good and juicy but wow, I will miss this show. I've been there from the beginning.

Bitchin Kitchen--LOVES The Nads. Nadia G is hot and her recipes are amazing. Her mac & cheese won my heart FOREVER.

What got ditched:
Once Upon a Time--I really had intended on watching this, but my DVR ate the first episode and I just didn't want to bother with it. I'll catch it on DVD though.

Terra Nova--I really did want to watch this but my DVR was piling up. Sure it's like Jurassic Park 2.0 but still looks cool. DVD for sure.

Revenge--looked good, space was an issue. DVD probably.

Farewell to:
Rescue Me--LOVED this show. I think it did the men & women of the FDNY a real service, post 9-11. Denis Leary is so awesome. I hope to see him elsewhere soon.

What's earned a spot on your DVR?

I totally agree with you about Grimm and American Horror Story. Weird, surreal, creepy goodness!
