Thursday Thirteen--the December edition
![]() |
1. I got my hair cut last week. It's shorter than in my new profile picture (which was taken the day before). I like it, though, less fuss, and less chances of some truly horrific bad hair days LOL. 2. It's in the mid 60's here, but I am wearing my slippers. Stop laughing. Just remember who will be wearing shorts by the weekend ;) 3. I am trying really hard to not think about all the holiday preparations that need to be done. :::avoiding eye contact with my calendar::: 4. I saw the film Rent last week. It was a lot different from what I expected, and though I liked it, I think it should have been filmed years ago. It felt....dated. The ending? A bit cheesy. I'll probably get the soundtrack (trying to decide between the B'way and movie versions). 5. I KNEW that Kimber didn't leave Christian willingly last week at the end of Nip/Tuck. I have my theory of who The Carver is. 6. This week's Netflix films: Beauty Shop, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and Spiderman 2. 7. It's driving me nuts who the celebrity voice is on today's Higgly Town Heroes. I cracked up when Trace Adkins was on the show. Ok, after MUCH searching (thank GOD for the internet), I realized it is Steve Harris, who played Eugene on The Practice. This kinda stuff drives me bonkers. 8. Three minutes until my lunch is done--Lean Cuisine Margharita pizza, doctored up with a little more oregano, basic, and crushed red pepper. 9. I'm not quite halfway done with Prisoner of Azkaban. That gives DQ the impression that she is a faster reader than I. I let her know it's because she has more free time (and less blogs) to read. She finished The Hobbit and has started The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (in preparation for the movie, which we will see on the 14th). 10. Last week we did a marathon of the Lord of the Rings trilogy (extended edition). Three nights, about 11 hours worth of viewing time. DQ *loved* them. Gollum scared SB a bit (when he was arguing with himself as Smeagol). But now he's going around the house saying My Preciousssssss. Hysterical. He only watched the 1st disc of each movie, way too long for him to sit through. 11. What's in the Tart Warmer? Yankee Candle, Cinnamon Stick. MMMMM. 12. What's better than chocolate? Tortuga Rum Company's Chocolate Rum cake, with a drizzle of GoalieMan's chocolate rum sauce. But alas, it is gone. 13. Have to go flip the rest of the calendars in the house to December. Interesting list of TT. I saw the Rent show in Manhattan, but didn't know there was a film as well. It'll probably take ages to get to the UK, in any case.
My TT is at rashbre's TT

Hi, Angel. My daughter is a huge RENT fan. My daughter was born to play the girl(I have forgotten her name) who sings "Over the Moon". That is totally her personality!

Chocolate rum cake? *drool* Sounds yummy! We did that last weekend - a movie marathon - but ours was Star Wars!

I am not laughing about your slippers, I am whining about not getting to wear shorts this weekend, or for the next 6 months, for that matter. Blech!
Who is the GIRL voice on Higgly Town Heroes? Do you know? You probably do.
I missed Nip/Tuck! Dangit. It's a really interesting show.
Thanks for joining in!!
